After reading these two verses, it honestly blows my mind how anyone WOULDN'T want to get to know Jesus. These verses show it that isn't about what WE can do for God (religion; works based), but rather, it's what God does for US (Christianity; Faith based). ✝️

1 John 2:1-2 AMP
[1] My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every wayβ€”purpose, thought, and action].

[2] And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful natureβ€”our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world.

Had a great time in Swannanoa again today with several guys from church. Today, we were working on building two small back porches on the home we've worked in the most.

We also got to meet the homeowner's Mom, who grew up in the house. It got a little emotional. She was thanking us and the other people who have been helping, but I feel like we need to thank HER and her family for allowing us to come into their home. Where there are so many memories (now good AND bad), and they let complete strangers come in right after a tragedy. And now, we almost feel like family.

Please continue to pray for the families that were affected by Hurricane Helene. We're now 11 months post Helene, and it's still far from over for them.

Facebook can kiss my rear-end man. If I want to make a post bragging on my friend's son for getting his first turkey (which is a HUGE accomplishment), I'm going to do that. Especially when I see things on Facebook that break their rules everyday.

Anyone who says hunting isn't ethical, I encourage you to see how these animals "go out" naturally in the wild.

Look at what rules the Facebook "Technology" said I broke πŸ˜† This is why so many creators are leaving this platform. Ethical hunting has been around for decades before Zuckerberg was a twinkle is his daddy's eye, and it will be here long after Facebook hits MySpace status.

Researchers have discovered solid evidence that musical ability is genetically inherited. Studying musical ability in both musically trained and untrained families, they found that musical ability follows a dominant inheritance pattern. Sons or daughters have a 50 percent chance of inheriting the gene from a parent who carries it.

How could mindless evolution develop a gene that codes for musical ability? Even evolutionists appear to be puzzled by this. But those of us who believe in the Creator praise Him whether we have musical ability or not!

they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name

I gotta brag on my 11 year old buddy Trevor.

On just his third season of turkey hunting with me, on the ONLY day of the 2025 season he could hunt, he shot his very first turkey! And it was a STUD πŸ¦ƒ

It had .75" spurs and TWO beards. One beard was 9.75" and the other was 5". He named it "The Ghost" because of how he snuck in behind us and never made a sound. All we heard were a couple of footsteps in the leaves, then The Ghost strutted up to my funky chicken Jake decoy, and Trevor made sure The Ghost never left that field.

I've never felt the feeling of seeing a young man shoot his first turkey, but it's a feeling I'll never forget πŸ’―
