“Loose” doesn’t mean sloppy — it means selective. Knowing what to describe, what to suggest, and when to put the brush down. 🎨

Annika’s class covers landscapes reduced to big, confident shapes and florals painted by gesture instead of outline. Swipe for a little inspiration on where four Sundays can take you. 🌿💧

Sundays 1–3pm, Oct 11–Nov 1. All materials included (100% cotton paper for final pieces). Only 12 seats — link in bio.

Scarf season is almost here, so we’re showing off one of our more unique projects! 🧣

A couple brought in this beautiful Hermès scarf they picked up on vacation. Instead of keeping it in the closet, they turned it into a stunning piece of wall art.

We hand stitch-mounted the scarf onto conservation-grade white rag mat, then floated it on a mandarin orange mat from Crescent Brands 🌙 to pick up the orange accents in the design. Paired with Alloy Soft Gold moulding from Larson-Juhl and UltraVue glass from Tru Vue®, the result has that ultra-luxe feel.

We’re so proud of this fashion-forward piece! Have a scarf (or any textile) with a story? Bring it in and let’s give it a place on your wall.

Week one: MAKE. ✏️

Draw something you love to make, or something you wish you knew how to make. No rules, and no “I’m not an artist” allowed (most of us feel that way anyway).

📅 Share by Sunday night, Oct 11. Tag us and use .

🏆 Every piece you share is a chance to make our shortlist for the grand prize vote at the end of the month, a FREE 4-week Adult Intensive ($150 value). Submit as many pieces as you like!

🧒 Kids and teens, you’re welcome to join too! We’ll give young artists their own weekly shoutout in our Stories. (The grand prize is adults 18+ only, since it’s a class seat.) Parents, please comment to give us permission to repost your child’s work.

📋 Full rules are on the last slide. Follow us so you don’t miss next week’s prompt!

New to all this? Our Start Here intensive kicks off tomorrow. Link in bio.

Aida Alarcón (AIDA ALARCÓN // MURALIST• LIVE PAINTER • FINE ARTIST) is a painter, muralist, and dear friend and roommate of our very own 🍂 Isabella Fiorenza Martino 🪲!

She was commissioned by the City of Lawrenceville to create a mural for the Lawrenceville Library that could be displayed across the city. With its size and transportability in mind, we built the base by mounting 72 individual 8x10in canvases to gatorboard and attached them to 3 subframes made from 2x4s. This construction allowed Aida’s work to stay secure as it goes on its tour of the city, we hope you have chance to check it out!

Special thanks to M I L O B E L O V E D for dropping by to see the finished piece!

Farewell and congrats to Chris Hardin (Christopher Hardin)!💙

The City of Suwanee is sending off its economic developer as he heads next door to Sugar Hill, Ga as Assistant to the City Manager. His team wanted to give him a poster full of heartfelt messages, and we were so happy to help with the frame!

We chose the Royal Blue moulding from Larson-Juhl’s Confetti Collection to pick up the blue chair in the poster, paired with a wheat linen mat from Crescent Brands 🌙 for a little extra texture. We finished it with UltraVue glass from Tru Vue® for less glare and beautiful clarity. ✨

Thank you, Chris, for all your hard work for our city. Sugar Hill is lucky to have you!

“Start Here” sounds like a beginner class. It’s not, exactly. 🤔

It’s four weeks of structured studio time for two kinds of people:

🌱Those who’ve wanted to make art for years and never knew where to begin
🔁Those who used to make art (or still do) and have hit a wall.

Each week comes at it from a different angle:

🎨Week 1: Color & composition
🖍️Week 2: Materials & texture (the messy week!
👀Week 3: Observational drawing, aka the art of seeing
💭Week 4: What you actually want to say.

You’ll leave with a stack of studies and experiments, plus a one-page Artist Direction Map 🗺️, a real plan for what you might make next. Not a masterpiece, a direction. ✨
