This is the final painting of three commissions. Each of the same log cabin located on Northport Point which is a gated community north of Northport. It’s a beautiful nest of old log homes and so much more. This painting represents the first view I took on during my first outing at the point. Can you tell it was a bold sunny day!! Where the sun is plays such a role in the feel of the painting. All of the paintings ended up with some time inside to complete, but there is a level of detail and feel that comes when on location. Detail as in what’s important, seen, felt —- not how well I rendered it. All three were delivered yesterday. It’s been a real treat to study the ole log house up at Northport Point. Thank you to this patron for trusting me to capture the family log house three times.
