And, how many years have I been painting with my troops nearby! Wow! Thanks Johnston M. Mitchell for sharing this France memory. I can’t wait to get the sign-up going for my 2028 France Retreat.

The gallery is open today while the Suttons Bay Art Festival is just outback. Be sure to swing in!

And, by the way——those are our then little girls, Helene and Flora who traveled to the Luberon Region with us in 2008 for a month. The trip was a painting pilgrimage for me to create a body of work. I created 30 plus paintings. An opportunity we sought out. Making things happen — patron driven. We are still so very thankful!

Garden Outback
Acrylic on canvas
77” x 48” x 2”

Now in the gallery. A big one that can entertain a space in your home or business forever. That garden gate came from my grandparents farm in northern Missouri. It’s been in my garden outback for years now. A treasure. I hope you enjoy the energy, delight and garden activity in this one.

Hello collector! Glad this 204 scene was swooped up at the Old Art Building fundraiser one of the last two evenings —- exclusive opportunity to purchase on Thursday or the all inclusive Friday night reception. A new opportunity offered within the fundraiser. 😉 The view from where I painted this one encompasses a lot. It used to be that I was chasing the yonder farm which made a great painting. I’ve always loved the curve in the road and the hillside. I am still chasing that farm, but now the well-established fave bakery and farm of 9 Bean Rows is equally in my vista. I see what I see and paint what I see and feel. Thus, if one were to look back at my paintings they reveal stories of places and times. They visually show what the landscape shaped up to present in that moment. This is an appealing and important aspect of painting for me as an artist. Thanks to whomever swooped up this visual story! ☀️🥰

Cheers to another run! The ever moody, changing sky opened a bit for the runners, walkers, pups and all. Thought I would share four tugs available at the gallery. Which one is for you —- gift or gift to yourself? No matter the mood—-we always connect with the liveliness of Fishtown, the tugs and all its joy. I love creating these small gems (approximately 5” x 6”) to be collected for whatever reason. Prop, frame or travel with your fave! ❤️🖼️

Workday in the gallery after a morning of group painters. They gather here and via zoom once a week for two hours to polish their painting endeavors. I love coaching, teaching or whatever you want to call it. A group dynamic provides the most motivation. 🖼️ Meanwhile—-A current commission that is not finished. 30” x 23”. This location is across state—-so enjoying the moment of studio time to bring this one about. Hoping the smoke conditions tame down soon…. currently continues to be very unhealthy outside. 😷
