WOW...
It's hard to put into words what we witnessed at this year's Sutherlin Throwdown.
Over 10,000 people came together for great food, great competition, and a great cause. What started as an idea has become something truly special because of the people who believe in it.
To Made for Trades - thank you for giving this event a purpose far bigger than BBQ or co****le. You're investing in the next generation of skilled trades, and that impact will be felt for years to come.
To the builders and tradespeople who showcased their craft, mentored young people, and reminded us why skilled trades matter - you are the heart of this event. You make the Throwdown unlike anything else.
To every BBQ team and vendor - thank you for bringing your passion, your talent, and some of the best barbecue you'll find anywhere. You didn't just feed a crowd... you created an experience people won't forget.
To the co****le players who traveled from across the region to compete - you brought an incredible level of competition and sportsmanship. The energy around those boards all weekend was something special to watch.
And to our sponsors... thank you for believing in this event from the beginning. Your support wasn't just seen on banners around the park or heard during live announcements. It was felt in every scholarship opportunity, every conversation about the trades, every volunteer, and every smile throughout the weekend. Your commitment to the future of skilled trades in Douglas County and beyond is what makes this event possible.
Finally, thank you to every volunteer, every attendee, every family, and everyone who chose to spend their weekend with us.
The Sutherlin Throwdown isn't just about Bags, BBQ & Brews. It's about building a stronger community, investing in the next generation, and creating something our town can be proud of.
We'll see you next year.
