Bogenrief Studios' Contemplating Lady window measures 104.5 by 44 inches (that's 8.7 feet tall!) and was completed in 2015. The piece was inspired by Alphonse Mucha and is a sister window to our Champagne Lady. The white scrollwork is double layered and fused to give a 3D, elliptical effect. The blue chunk jewel in the bottom of the piece was chipped by hand in studio, and is Dalle de Verre glass. Some flowers and vines are smaller than a fingernail. Youghiogheny Glass makes up a majority of the window.

Bogenrief Studios completed the Champagne Lady Window in 2014, based on the artwork of Alphonse Mucha. It measures 104.5x44 inches. All the white glass is double layered and fused together to give it an elliptical effect. All the jewels in the center of her dress are Swarovski double-faceted and layered with purple glass to give them a deeper tone. The red jewels are bullring jewels, used in advertising signs in the 1920s-1930s. Almost all the rest of the glass is Youghiogheny. It took a year of work hours.

When a lamp repair came in during the early 2000s, our Bogenrief Studios owner loved it so much he developed a gold version of his own. This lamp uses Wissmach 58D Iridescent in the background, with Kokomo 18G Granite-Back Glass for the scroll. The white glass is also Kokomo granite. The lamp measures 20 inches across the bottom.

This Spring Evening Window: Red Edition uses Youghiogheny Glass for the red-to-translucent pour in the sky, as well as for the ground and floral glass. The scroll work and outer background features Kokomo Opalescent Glass. Bogenrief Studios created the window in the early 2000s, and used it as inspiration for their Spring Evening Window: Blue Edition in 2011. The piece measured approximately 7-by-4 feet.

Chicago Art Glass is the main background in this swan window. It measured approximately 42-by-66 inches. Almost all the flowers are Youghiogheny Glass, complimented by double-faceted jewels and hand-crafted bevels in studio. The orange-to-yellow glass surrounding the swan was made by the Bogenriefs in the early '80s, when the window was also designed. Bogenrief's grandfather was a world-class furniture maker, so he grew up smelling wood — which is what inspired the studio to hand-carve their frames.

Wissmach iridescent glass composed the caramel sections of this 12x12-foot Oak Frame Dome completed in 2009. The florals featured Oceana and Youghiogheny glass, filled in with Catspaw Kokomo glass as the background. Bought-bevels were designed for the bevel-cluster corners.

We made three versions of our Maiden Lady due to popular demand between 2000-2006. The window measured 48-by-65 inches with Youghiogheny glass used throughout. The blue beads in her collar piece are made of real Tiffany glass.
