Hi, race fans,
After much consideration, we have made the very difficult decision to end our racing season immediately.
This is certainly not how we envisioned the remainder of our season, but at this time, our priority must be focusing on Leif’s health and our family.
For those who may not know, Leif has been facing a very sudden and aggressive battle with cancer. He has already undergone two surgeries, and we recently learned that the cancer has spread. His treatment will include chemotherapy, a third surgery to remove glands and lymph nodes from his neck, followed by radiation.
This is a battle we are prepared to face head-on, with the support of an exceptional medical team. Given everything ahead of us, continuing to race while also giving Leif and his treatment the attention they require is simply not feasible.
We sincerely hope our racing family and supporters can understand this decision.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has helped us at the track this season and to those who have reached out, offered support, and stepped up for our family during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness, encouragement, thoughts, and prayers mean more to us than you know.
For now, racing will have to take a back seat while we focus on the fight ahead. We are taking this one day at a time and putting all of our energy into getting Leif through this.
