Important Announcement: Lake Stephens Weekend Closure & Apology

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the closure of Lake Stephens this past weekend. Due to severe storms in the area, we experienced a power outage, and staff were unable to come in due to flooding in the area.

Unfortunately, internal communication disruptions prevented us from posting timely updates regarding the closure. We understand how frustrating this miscommunication was for our visitors and community members, and we are actively taking steps to improve our notification systems to ensure you always receive up-to-date information.

Park Update – Wednesday, August 5

Due to a power outage affecting the entire park, the Splash Pad and Aqua Park will be closed today.

The Beach will remain open for swimming.

According to APCO, power is currently estimated to be restored by 6:00 PM today, although that time is subject to change.

The Marina will remain open but will be operating on a cash-only basis until power is restored.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.

Lake Stephens Hours Updates:

As of August 17, we will be implementing our late summer operating schedule. The Beach will maintain daily hours from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM, weather permitting.

The Aqua Park and Splash Pad will be open on weekends only, from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. As the summer season comes to a close and schools reopen, we are adjusting our schedule to ensure a continued safe and enjoyable experience for our patrons. All scheduled private events will proceed as planned.

We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to continue seeing you in the parks!
