Ollie finally had her babies !!!

This past week we welcomed around 50 Two Spot Octopus hatchlings!

When coming into the aquarium you will notice that Ollie has moved behind the scenes with her babies but we have so many pictures and videos we can share with you in the aquarium 🐙

We offer these school visits as a fun way to bring the education & the animals to you!

Every school visit includes :

🐢An interactive presentation on a topic of your choice

🪸Hands-on exploration with related specimen

🐍Live animal encounters!

🐠Optional dissection with all necessary supplies

🎨Optional: add on an extra hour to your school visit to include a animal related craft and an extra live animal encounter !

🐙Happy World Octopus Day🐙

🫧Fun Facts about our Two Spot Octopus🫧

🐙 They have three hearts and a donut shaped brain

🐙 Like horseshoe crabs , they have blue blood

🐙 Each sucker contains specialized Chemotactile receptors that allow them to taste and touch at the same time

🐙 Their common name “Two Spot Octopus” comes from the iridescent blue spots on the octopus called Ocelli
