Actor Participation Fee: $120 for the 8 week course.
About the Class: Telling a good story involves so much more than our scripted words! Director Miranda will be teaching this section of the class, and together we will explore acting through body movements, gestures, and facial expressions, focusing on the actions without spoken dialogue. Actors will challenge themselves to convey emotion, humor, and narrative through physical expression!
Our resident choreographer - Karena will be introducing us to the basics of Theater Choreography! Dance is a powerful tool in where the actors reveal character motivations, emotional tension, and subtext. Instead of replacing words, theatrical movement visually guides us into the plot, driving the story forward and establishing deep connections with the audience. Not only will we learn names and mechanics of moves we use every show, but we will also learn some choreography for upcoming productions!
No matter if you are a theater veteran, a first timer, or if you are planning to use this as a jumping off point into our 2026/2027 season - this is a great opportunity to slow down and hone your craft!
