Meet the new SHS Band and Orchestra Director:

Kyle Langston is a Washington native, and grew up in the Olympia area. He started playing Trombone in the 5th grade, and went on to play the Trombone in college as well. He graduated from Central Washington University in 2015, after completing studies with Dr. John Neurohr, and earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Education. He taught Middle School and High School bands as well as High School choir in the East Valley School District for 9 years. In 2023, he finished his Masters in Music Education through the American Band College of Central Washington University. Throughout the years he has had the pleasure of performing with various ensembles from across the state, but lists his participation in the Central Washington University Trombone Choir as his favorite.

Who is ready for some awards! The 3rd annual SHS Music Awards is tomorrow night, May 31st! Desserts start at 6:30pm with the ceremony starting at 7:00pm!
