Today at the Oppenheimer Playground……check out Jo Jo’s Sprinkles and Scoops today at the Oppenheimer! With the generous donation from Jo Jo’s and Deb Brouse 50 kids will get a scoop of FREE ice cream!!! With that great donation we will forgo our ice cream party today!!! The first 50 kids will get tickets today to get FREE ice cream!!

ANNOUNCEMENT………I want to take some of your time and please read! I want to acknowledge and thank Lisa Mertz for all she has done at the Oppenheimer Playground! Every Wednesday she would take time out of her day to teach a lesson to the kids and get them excited about reading. Every Wednesday she had an activity or treat for the kids that SHE PAID FOR OUT OF HER POCKET!!! A retired teacher giving back to her community…..the kids…..the families!!!! She deserves a flood of THANK YOUS!!!!

Today was food day……Today the kids had the opportunity to mix and make trail mix (fun healthy lol) at the Oppenheimer Playground!!!! Yesterday during reading they got to taste all things PA (Middleswarth chips and tasty cakes ) and today trail mix!!!!

As we see the end of our season (August 8 is our last day) in the mirror, today we are making trail mix with the kids at the Oppenheimer Playground at 1:00! Come and enjoy one of our last family fun activity!!! Take the time in the next week to thank the counselors for all their hard work this year in organizing all the activities! A huge thank you to the Moyer Foundation for funding our fun filled activity summer! See you today for our trail mix fun!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY WAS A SUCCESS…….Santa and Grinch gave out gifts to over 60 kids PLUS Harlen won a NEW BIKE!!!! Santa also read a book to the kids!! It was a great day to be a kid at the Oppenheimer Playground!! Next week we will be coloring cards for senior citizens and winning prizes!! The Grinch’s heart grew three sizes today!!
