I’ve started writing this post in my head about 1000 times and I’m still not sure how to share all that is on my heart.
Let me start with THANK YOU!!! You have all been such a blessing to me and brought such joy into my life. I hope that I have brought you even just a measure of that joy in return.
When I started this venture five years ago all of this was just a dream. I was working part time at the museum and doing a little substitute teaching while offering mobile parties and having classes wherever someone was gracious enough to allow me to use their space. Over time it grew and I moved to my own (very tiny) space. And then it grew and I moved into this wonderful space. During that time, though I also started teaching part-time, then full time. Each year by day job shifted slightly, taking me through teaching every grade K-12 eventually.
My family has also grown and changed in that time with six graduations, two weddings bringing me the most amazing daughters-in-law and and the best of all my granddaughter.
All of these life changes have brought me to the place where I need to close the Outside the Lines chapter of my life. It has been such a difficult decision to make because I will miss you all so much. Working with you and your kids has been amazing! And it’s something I’d love to come back to some day.
I hosted my last party at the studio today. Thank you Miss A for letting me be part of your birthday celebration! It was the perfect way to close this chapter.
I’ll still have a week or two of art camps in the summer at my school that will be open to all of you. And if you’d like to have a paint party I’d be honored to come to your place and create with you. So instead of goodbye, I’ll just say: until we meet again.
Much love,
Christy
