With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our founder, the original Alfonso of Alfonso's Breakaway Glass.

Alfonso was born into humble beginnings in Mexico and was determined to build a better life for himself, his wife, and their future family. His unwavering work ethic earned him an apprenticeship in props, where he tirelessly experimented with, improved, and refined his products. In 1986, he founded Alfonso's Breakaway Glass, developing the industry's largest inventory of ceramic and glass breakaway items and becoming the world's leading provider of quality breakaway products.
Those fortunate enough to know and work with him over the years witnessed his consistency, integrity, hard work, and humility. In his pursuit of a better life, he built a legacy that will live on through the thousands of films and productions featuring his products, the countless relationships he built in the industry, and his works of philanthropy for his beloved hometown of Pegueros, Jalisco.

Here at Alfonso's Breakaway Glass, we honor the foundation that Alfonso Sr. established 40 years ago in all that we do. As a family, we take pride in the reputation that our father and grandfather created and will always strive toward the generosity, integrity, consistency, and hard work that he demonstrated throughout his life.

May he rest in heavenly peace.
