TIMELESS ||
One of those evenings chasing the last glow of daylight, where you swear you’ll remember the way the ocean felt forever…(it was freezing 🥶🧊)
Was digging through some old photos and found this one from last year, so I decided to give it a new edit.
I think said it best: ‘Backlit compositions have always been a challenge for me. I don’t want to completely lose the subject to a silhouette, but still stay true to the background environment. It’s a balance for me, knowing what clicks…experimenting is the only way to find what works or doesn’t. Stylistic aesthetics are for you to enjoy building, not to come up with overnight.”
And this shot was no exception. It took a lot of trial and error, but finding that balance made it worth it. Excited to keep experimenting and sharing more moments like this in the new year 🙏🏻
Also, shoutout to Lexi for braving the cold waters and doing whatever it takes to get the shot 🙌🏼
