Coastal Celt Designs Coastal Celt Designs, a one stop shop for Celtic inspired knits, Coastal Trinkets and more! I've always enjoyed crafting and embracing my inner artist.

Welcome to Coastal Celt Designs where you can find Celtic inspired knits, decoupage shells, and more! Several years ago I wanted to learn to knit but found every excuse not to take the time to learn, this year thanks to online tutorials I've learned to knit several patterns. My gallery will continue to grow as I master additional patterns available for custom orders.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Continued the annual tradition of drinking a Guinness with my Guinness!

Spent a few hours today listening to favorite pub songs while spinning a red blend merino wool.

After frogging a failed knitting project that consumed most of February, I opted to put time into developing my yarn spinning skills.

Will share all completed yarn from February through March 15th later this week.

Last month I had the privilege to make a commissioned Melt the ICE hat (pattern on Ravelry).

This pattern originates from WWII Norway in resistance to Hitler's regime.

Red is a theme in WWII resistance, one of my favorite historians has a podcast episode about Red Lipstick and how women in England and America wore in protest of Hitler's regime.

It was a pleasure to knit a piece of history originating from WWII and connections to my Scandinavian ancestors.

First fiber spun up into usable yarn, it all started with visiting a local heritage site and receiving my first spinning lesson.

A lot of trial and error, my firsy skein is a bumpy mess, keeping it to show my progress.

Homespun skeins will be available later this year for purchase!

A celebration of hearts!

Last Valentines Day I decided to make a variety of hearts as I tested several patterns by Studio Knits, BHooked and KnittingByPost.com(s).

After working on several finished pieces, it was a joy to knit swatches and try something new using stuffing in hearts.

January completed knits!

For myself, hat & fingerless gloves, the gloves took twice as long as the hat.

Commissioned baby gift, in my favorite color!!

After frogging the entire project almost 2 years ago, I found a different pattern I liked better and made myself a heavy weight wool cardigan.

Not pictured is an intricate cable sweater in progress, back panel complete and began working on the front panel.

Also began using my spinning wheel(s) and hope to have a decently spun skein to share.

What can I make you? Send your ideas and lets talk.

January has been a quasi hibernation month after three weeks of intense knitting last month for orders and family gifts.

December brought several new patterns: child mittens, men's neck gator, and my first completed sweater.

Knitted in autumn and received in December was a dress for my niece, arriving early 2026.

I have made a list of knitting projects for myself this year, in addition to continue to add pieces to my sale inventory.

More fiber items to come, working on a few needlepoint pieces that have I rediscovered while organizing my craft closet.

Sending best wishes to all of you on a gentle transition into February as 2026.
