New painting from this week! I’ve been painting with Jane Burton and Linda Wegmann at Jane’s studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’ve been learning so much (and have loved getting to know Linda’s work!)

This one (52” x 52”) was inspired by a childhood memory of playing outside, painting scraps of wood that my dad saved for me. I was thinking about how much fun it was and how proud I felt of my creations, choosing any colors, under the trees. It’s especially meaningful since my dad has been gone a long time - love that this memory came up.

Swipe to see it virtually in a few rooms and the unstretched canvas on the wall too.

I’m so happy to be painting in the Bay Area this week with Jane Burton! Here is a 52” x 60” piece from yesterday that’s still untitled but I love the feeling of it. Swipe to see just the painting and then the painting on the
wall yesterday. Two more days to go - can’t wait to keep creating tomorrow!

Had such a special family wedding this weekend! My brother married his longtime love at a gorgeous Japanese garden in Pasadena with so many family and friends there to cheer them on. I was so honored to officiate (a first for me!) and the celebration afterwards was so much fun! Swipe to see a few of the photos 💚💚

“North Country,” 36” x 48”, acrylic on canvas, has an edge of the forest feeling to me - fields and roads and glimpses of woods. I love the depth and spaciousness created by the opaque vs transparent shapes, and especially love the color palette in this painting.

Swipe to see it in a few different settings. I’m looking forward to seeing it at Hanover Creative Gallery in Trenton, NJ tonight! It’s one of six of my paintings in their “Cumulus” exhibition, also featuring the work of 3 other NJ artists. Opening reception is 6-8pm tonight and all are welcome!

Sharing my painting “Bridge to You,” 12” x 12”, acrylic on panel. It was shown at last fall’s Open Studio (second photo) and will be included in “Cumulus,” the group show I’m in beginning May 1 at Hanover Creative Gallery in Trenton, NJ.

We traveled to Spain and Portugal last summer and I found the Vasco de Gama Bridge in Lisbon - which was surrounded by sail boats the afternoon we saw it - to be quite striking. There’s a small white triangle in this painting that reminded me of one of the sailboats.

The opening reception for Cumulus is May 1, 6-8pm and all are welcome!

I’m excited to share that 6 of my paintings will be exhibited in a group show titled “Cumulus” at Hanover Creative Gallery in Trenton, NJ, May 1-30. The opening reception is Friday May 1, 6-8pm (219 East Hanover St, Trenton) and all are welcome.

According to the gallery: Cumulus features works that transcend minimalist abstraction, highlighting something peaceful and reminiscent, which we can all connect to. This dream-like collection of abstract works features celebrated New Jersey artists, offering viewers a quiet space for contemplation. Exhibiting artists include Ryniee DeCheser, Leena Joshi, Tracey Luckner, and Vincent Salvati.

My painting “Quietly Becoming,” 48” x 48”, is shown on the exhibition flyer. Please swipe to see 2 of my additional paintings that will be shown - “In my thoughts,” 12” x 12”, mixed media on panel, and “Bridge to You,” 12” x 12”, acrylic on panel.

Thinking about warmer days with my painting “Meet Me in Barcelona,”’ 30” x 40”, acrylic on canvas.

We went on a wonderful trip last summer to Spain and Portugal, starting in beautiful, art-filled Barcelona (swipe to see a few photos including La Sagrada Familia and one of my favorite Picasso museum paintings.)

“Meet Me in Barcelona” has been on display at Overlook Medical Center for the past few months at my 26-painting solo sho there. I’m looking forward to seeing it tomorrow when we take down the show!

Sharing my painting “Country Road - with Roses,” 40” x 30”, acrylic on canvas. It feels to me like a sunset after dinner walk, past the roses.

This one developed quietly, waiting patiently for me to see that it was complete. I love the calm feeling of this painting, with its soft earthy colors and hints of the landscape in this piece.

It’s up now until Feb. 1, 2026 at my solo show of 26 recent abstract landscape paintings at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, or you can also see it on my website (link in bio).
