The newest label I’ve designed to hit the streets: . This collaborative beer between and is not only delicious but has one of my favorite labels so far. We went through several flag-like illustrations until this one passed and I’m quite pleased with it. The title is a branded font for the Charleston Stair Climb and we wanted to keep that prominent, here. It’s definitely an eye grabbing label and already starts a conversation about the Memorial Stair Climb and it’s significance. If you don’t know about the event, check them out and sign up for next year! (The final print ended up switching the QR code colors so it’ll register easier - but I’m partial to the red color 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Let’s keep the beer labels rolling! Next one was ‘s Hefeweizen, “Mother Heffer!” This one had to get tweaked quite a bit as I evolved the design even though it is pretty simplistic. I have Timelapse of the progress that I will show later on. Hefeweizens are wheat beers, in case you didn’t know, so I wanted to use a wheat field and the colors of the beer to strongly input the expectation in the customers mind. I was pleasantly harassed about the oak trees but I wanted to tie in the brewery a bit so I left the tree line in there. It also helps to break up the design.
There’s a nice nostalgia treat to the cow that we were shooting for 😉

The beer label that splashed some waves! I had a quick vision for it the moment I was told the name of the beer and immediately went for the playful illustration. We also introduced our second character to the brewery brand, Clint Eatswood! The colors of this one are built around a pleasing color instead of the blackwater we have here; the canoe is meant to pop and draw the eye, as well as make Clint standout.

The first beer label I made for was for their staple beer, Joggling Board. We wanted to use their mascot squirrel, Eichel, in the branding and obviously add a Joggling Board to the design. I then recreated their logo as the background scene. The bright colors were an essential part, as well, to better grab consumer attention.

I’ve been blessed with a decent amount of work relating to and for my hometown of Summerville, South Carolina. So I was primed and ready to design this label for that’s meant to pay homage to our town. I made sure to include key visuals we associate like the train, pine trees, town hall, and the square with the fountain.
The colors were inspired by aged print and the green reflects the pines. I enjoyed the monochromatic variable with this one.
Plus, the beer is delicious!

These are some illustrations I’ve done for that are among my favorite jobs. Working alongside them has given me a small look into the different lifestyle of cattle ranching. And has only increased my desire to visit Texas and try their barbecue!
