Now this was a fun venue! I played my first December Christmas party in the VIP room at the Credit One Stadium tonight. My vantage point was third floor with a performer’s view of the stadium through the window…might be as close as I’m going to get to being booked to play the stadium, and that’s fine with me. I got all the view and none of the nerves. 😆 I get to do it again tomorrow evening at The Dime on Daniel Island! 🎄

We opened very quietly with no big announcement so you might have missed it. But yes, we are open! Serving dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 5-9 pm, or Friday & Saturday from 5-10 pm. Keith Miller will be providing music in the courtyard every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.

One last time. It feels like the end of a lovely era. I played one last time, and met up with Sermet working the kitchen on the very last night of Sermet’s Courtyard earlier this evening. He’s made a career out of making folks happy, and I’m one of those folks. Thanks Sermet for giving me the opportunity to share so many wonderful, musical moments with friends on the courtyard. I’m grateful that I’ll be starting back next month playing in the same location for the new owners, and look forward to seeing many of you there!

Well, this was my last Saturday night at Sermet’s Courtyard. Here was a beautiful little Daniel Island sunset moment on break down by the water.

My friend, Sermet Aslan is certainly irreplaceable, but the good news is that the restaurant will go on under new management. They are keeping the staff, whom I consider friends, the Mediterranean menu, and…wait for it…the guitar guy!

I’m sad to see my dear friend go, but I wish him all the blessings he deserves in retirement. I will be playing for his final nights at the restaurant next Tuesday and Wednesday.

I’m forever grateful to Sermet for allowing for me live the dream! I look forward to seeing all the patrons/friends at the new place. May it honor Sermet’s legacy, and continue to be the special place it’s always been.
