Attention band and choir parents. Band members will be putting together a float for this years Christmas parade on December 6th. Plan is to start decorating the float at 3pm and will need to leave to line up around 6pm. All band members will need to be at the music building by 5:45pm. Dinner will be provided for students that help decorate. Contact Mr. Guilbert with any questions.

*Reminder that the Band and Choir Christmas concert is on Monday December 9th @ 6pm in the High School Gym.

Congratulations Peyton Ripka and Zach Thomas for amazing performances at the South Central Missouri Junior High Honor Band this past Saturday. Peyton performed with the 7th grade band on the clarinet and Zach with the 8th grade band on the trumpet.

This was sent home with all band and choir students today. Please note the change of date of the Christmas Concert. All performances are mandatory, contact Mr. Guilbert with any conflicts.

I am also looking for someone with a truck and trailer that we can use for a float during the parade. Please email Mr. Guilbert at [email protected] if you are willing/able to pull the band during the parade on December 6th.

All 7-12 band and choir members will be performing during the assembly!

SHS FFA will host the annual Veterans Day Assembly on Monday, November 11. Veterans are invited to a meal before the assembly, which will begin at 12:30 PM that day. Please help share the word.

Eran Denton and Bethany Willis participated in the South Central District Honor Choir this past Saturday. They earned their spots among the best singers in south central Missouri after auditioning back in September. Great job Eran and Bethany!

Reminder that the 8-12 Band will perform @ 10am students need to arrive with all needed equipment to the square by 930am. The HS Choir will perform at noon and need to arrive by 11:45am. I will be at the music building between 9-930am for any students that need to get equipment before the performance. I will not have a way to transport students from the music building to the square as my truck will be full of band equipment so please plan accordingly.

The music department is holding a co****le tournament at the Pumpkin Festival on October 5th. $20 per team with the winner of the tournament winning half of the registration fees. Use the QR code on the flyer to register. Teams must be registered by Thursday October 3rd to participate. Please message or email me with any questions. [email protected]

Austin Lampone, Bethany Willis, and Eran Denton travelled to Kickapoo High School this past Saturday to audition for the South Central Missouri District Honor Choir. Both Bethany Willis and Eran Denton earned spots in the 9/10 choir. Bethany and Eran will practice and perform a concert on the evening of November 2nd at Evangel University with the top choir students from south central Missouri. Congratulations to both of them!
