Part 4 and we finally made it to the fun part…planting! 🌿

The holes are dug, we’ve got some much better soil to work with, and now it’s time to get everything in the ground.

After all that digging in dry red clay, this part felt easy.

With regular watering, a little protection from our very hungry deer, and plenty of care, this area should really start to bloom and flourish. I’m already looking forward to coming back and doing a before-and-after video once everything has had some time to grow! 🌸

Part 3 🌿 The new plants are finally going into place!

After getting everything out of the pots and into the holes, I decided our red clay needed a little help before these officially went into the ground.

So planting is temporarily on hold for one more Home Depot run. 😂 Better soil first…then we can finally get these beauties planted!

Part 2 of filling in this flower bed…digging all the holes. And this was definitely the hardest part. 😂

We hadn’t had rain in a while, so our North Carolina red clay was even harder than usual. Not exactly ideal digging conditions, but these new plants weren’t going to plant themselves!

Slowly but surely, this bed is coming together. 🌿
