Monica's Art I have painted all my life and created this page to share my love of art. Hello there and welcome to my FB page! And she brought me up enjoying all forms of art.

Art has been a part of my life from the day I was born. My mother was an art major at the John Herron School of Art. I have two awesome sons and 7 wonderful grandchildren who encourage me in everything I do!

This is a print of my and my mother’s work. The original is on an actual parchment of the constitution and is currently hanging at the Chelsea Art show. In Ocala (June and July). This is a true painting of love. My mom started this when she was diagnosed. She became too sick and passed away before she could finish it. I didn’t have the heart to throw it out. I never knew it would become a joint effort of love for us both. The stars and blue banner she painted (I added the gold and 1776 to the banner). I had to rework the design due to Hurricane Ian and storage damage. She started this in 2008, but now 2026. I painted the eagle, the red and white, and was able to add the 250 to also hide damage. I Painted the eagle (mom had it color booked with most of the beak and eyes done…
Prints are embellished with gold. But not on the original.
I think for this 250th celebration mom is smiling.

I don’t usually plug art supplies. But maybe I should! Did I really NEED another stay wet pallet? Weeeeell turns out I did! This pallet sat on my work table for a month (with lid on). I poured out tooo much paint as always 🙄. Yes, I was testing it. But, before I even used it… they said,”easy open and close” my thoughts were, yeah right, and I’m prob just gonna send it back. They were RIGHT…. No broken nails, struggling, and finally asking doug to open for me (which always meant a flipped over palette with paints all mixed together). NOPE, it was so easy my heart skipped beat, and just had to paint something right then. Then I purposely left it sit on work table (with the lid on). For a month. Opened, no crusty edges or skin forming on top!
I ended up with three more projects started from paint I would have thrown away!!

I just realized I not only forgot to post finished pictures kid the class on March 27th. But I didn’t take a single picture! I was having too much fun teaching those leaves! So everyone… please post your amazing pics!
