Justin (JJ) Jones is Homebrewed Hits first featured artist

JJ, 31 years old, was born in Springfield, MO, but attended school in Sulphur Springs-SSHS Class of 2007

Influenced by Stoney LaRue, Todd Snider and Hayes Carll among others, JJ played his first open mic in 2006 at East Fork.

JJ started out playing local area bars and parties with a few friends while still in high school and went on to enter and win a couple of singer songwriter competitions in 2008 and 09

“I Don’t Wanna Be..” is the name of JJ’s song we’re playing today.

Justin plays fairly regularly around Sulphur Springs and surrounding areas. He can be found at our favorite place for music and beer, BackStory Brewery, on most Open Mic Nights and playing his own shows.

Hey hey hey NETX Musicians!!! Send me your sounds!! Let’s freshen up the morning show with your jams on the radio 📻 I know you’re out there killin it so don’t be shy!

STEP 1: Go by BackStory Brewery and get an artist application and tell us about yourself, book a gig while you’re there!
STEP 2: Turn it in to BackStory OR email it to [email protected] or [email protected] AND
Include an original recorded song or 2 or 3 or 4
STEP 3: Bribe your fav Account Executive for air play. Jk jk 😂 There’s only 2 steps! That’s it! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

FYI- We’re open to all genres, not just our country format so don’t let that stop you. That said, death metal and gangsta rap will be considered on a case by case basis 😉 😎
