Join us this Juneteenth as we celebrate freedom, creativity, culture, and community through live music, dance, and interactive experiences!

Featuring:

🎙️ Parabellum Raps (Leaton White) – bringing powerful lyricism and dynamic storytelling.

🎸 OffSkriptt Gogo Band – delivering live sounds and infectious energy guaranteed to move the crowd.

✍🏾✨ Join us for The Neighborhood Bardom, a virtual writing workshop series led by award-winning slam poet Javon Rustin.

Our first session, PowerNomics in Poetry, takes place on Wednesday, June 17 from 7:00 PM–8:30 PM and explores mental health, wellness, community, and creative expression through storytelling and reflective writing.

Inspired by Dr. Claud Anderson’s PowerNomics, we’ll examine the resources, strengths, and support systems we carry with us—and how they help us navigate life’s challenges. Through guided prompts, meaningful conversation, and creative exercises, writers of all levels are invited to connect, reflect, and create in a supportive virtual space.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who came out and made Effervescent such a beautiful, uplifting, and unforgettable celebration of Pride, creativity, history, and community.

Effervescent is where artistry, self-expression, and community collide ✨

We had the honor of welcoming into our gallery for a powerful and immersive art installation that brought bold creativity, theatrical storytelling, and drag artistry into the space. Known throughout DC for their electrifying drag productions and reimagined theatrical experiences, Highball continues to push the boundaries of performance art and q***r expression.

This installation is just a glimpse of the beauty, imagination, and transformative artwork that will be showcased at Effervescent — a celebration of art, identity, freedom, and creative energy in all its forms. From vibrant visual art to unforgettable performances, Effervescent is creating space for people to feel inspired, connected, and fully themselves.
