Allonge' Dance Academy Faith-filled. People-loving. Excellence-driven. Classical dance training in a joyful, wholesome community where every dancer belongs. We’re NOT the competition.

Ballet & more for children through adults—beginners to pre-professional. We’re the ALTERNATIVE! Allonge' offers expert instruction by degrees educators with an emphasis on creating a strong foundation in classical ballet technique so that students may excel at the many dance forms that are built on its foundation. Allonge' ignites a passion and love for dance in a all ages while stretching dancers to their highest ability and character regardless of age or experience. Allonge' also offers private and group instruction in Classical Pilates as originally designed by Joseph Pilates. Allonge' offers pilates classes by a fully certified 3rd generation instructor with instructional ties to the pilates originator- Joseph Pilates.

A huge THANK YOU to the Isle of Wight County Fair for inviting us to perform! 💜

We loved having the opportunity to share the joy and love of dance as an art form that can move hearts, tell stories, and bring people together.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the fantastic organization, oversight, staging, safety, and sound support provided throughout the event. Your team made it such a wonderful experience for our dancers!

They already know what dance is supposed to look like. 🩰

They’ve seen the beautiful arms, the pointed feet, the tutus, the turns. They know the picture of a ballerina.

But they don’t yet know what ballet is supposed to feel like.

That’s where the educator comes in.

We teach them to feel where their weight belongs. To discover balance and alignment. To understand how the arms connect to the back, how turnout begins at the hip, how movement works with music, and how the body learns to create what the eyes already recognize.

At first, they imitate the picture.

Then, little by little, education turns that picture into understanding.

And somewhere along the way, they stop simply trying to look like dancers…

and begin to become dancers. 💙

That is one of my favorite parts of teaching.

✨ AN EXTRA-SPECIAL SNEAK PEEK FROM THE EN POINTE GALLERY ✨

Some pointe shoes carry more than the marks of dancing.
They carry a story. 🩰

These shoes were worn by Carabosse in our 2026 production of Sleeping Beauty: Rooted in Love—and now they have been transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of art:

🖤 The Redemption of Carabosse 🖤

How fitting that the shoes of a character who represented darkness have themselves been redeemed—something once worn, worn out, and finished given new beauty and new purpose.

It echoes so much of the message behind Rooted in Love: God is in the business of redemption. He takes what appears broken, spent, or finished and makes something beautiful from it. 🤍

Tomorrow evening, The Redemption of Carabosse will be available to bid on in our En Pointe Gallery Silent Auction at Cornerstone Ballet Company’s Friends & Family Night.
