✨ OPEN AUDITIONS- A new chapter is waiting to be told ✨

Tattered Tale returns to the stage, and Cornerstone Ballet Company invites the dance community and local talent to audition. Whether you know the story well or are discovering it for the first time, this ballet offers a meaningful opportunity to grow artistically and perform with purpose.

OPEN Auditions take place Monday, September 28 at 6:30 PM. Performances will be Spring 2027.

A week of focused training, inspiring choreography, meaningful connection, and spiritual growth awaits our dancers. Cornerstone Ballet Company is holding community auditions for A Tattered Tale. If you love expressive movement, storytelling through dance, and being part of an inspiring production, this audition is for you.

UPDATED- Well... our Facebook Live didn't survive the DC heat! ☀️📱 Between the temperatures and a rapidly draining phone battery, the stream ended much sooner than we hoped.

But what a beautiful day it was.

Our Cornerstone Ballet Company had the incredible privilege of standing in our nation's capital, offering the gifts and talents God has entrusted to us back to their Giver. There is something profoundly special about using dance, music, and worship to glorify the One who gave us every good gift.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for us, supported us, sponsored this trip, and planned to join us online. Even though the Live didn't make it, your encouragement helped make this weekend possible.

The statistics are heartbreaking.

According to research highlighted by Dr. Daniel Amen, citing CDC data, 57% of teen girls report experiencing persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, and 24% have seriously considered taking their own lives.

This is not okay.

Our daughters are growing up in a world that constantly tells them their worth is found in their appearance, their performance, their popularity, or their achievements. But those foundations were never meant to carry the weight of their identity.

At Cornerstone Ballet Company, we long to be part of a different story.

We seek to create a place where young women discover that their identity is rooted in who they are—not simply what they’re capable of doing. We believe true strength isn’t found in perfection or performance, but in the unshakable joy that comes from knowing whose they are.

Dance matters. Community matters. Truth matters. And every young person deserves to know they are deeply loved, intentionally created, and filled with God-given purpose.

If you’re raising a teenager, know this: you are not alone. Let’s keep building places where young hearts can grow deep roots, find genuine belonging, and flourish.
