Remembering Tim Curry.

An unforgettable performer whose work brought wit, mystery, and larger-than-life characters to the stage and screen.

We had the chance to celebrate one of his most iconic roles when we brought Clue to the Suffield Academy stage, with Wadsworth played by Dominic Colangelo ’19.

Thank you for the laughs, the suspense, and a performance that will forever make Wadsworth unforgettable.

Remembering Dolly Parton. 💛

Her music, humor, heart, and unmistakable spirit have inspired generations of performers.

We were lucky to bring a little of that Dolly magic to the Suffield Academy stage with our production of 9 to 5.

Thank you for the music, the stories, and for always reminding us to dream big.

Sneak Peek! From sketch to stage.

Every production starts with an idea.

These images show part of the design process for our upcoming production of Once Upon a One More Time:

• Initial concept sketches
• Our actual theatre space
• Construction in the scene shop
• AI-assisted visualizations created using photos of our theatre and scenic concept, combined with licensed Broadway Media projection artwork, to explore how scenery, lighting, and projections might work together before construction and programming.

These visualizations are concept art, not the final production, but they’ve become an invaluable design tool that helps us experiment, collaborate, and solve problems before we build.

Now the real work begins as our students and production team bring these ideas to life.

Truss being assembled in scene shop.

As a new Off-Broadway production begins casting, I couldn’t help but think back to our production from ten years ago.

These photos capture just a few moments from the process, rehearsals, promotional shoots, and performances. It was an incredibly talented cast that took on a challenging and unforgettable piece of theater.

Here’s to the students who brought this story to life.

Every great production depends on more than the cast.

Our Stagecraft class and Stage Crew students build scenery, program lights, run sound, solve problems, and help bring every show to life.

If you enjoy creating, building, designing, or working with technology, technical theatre is a great place to get involved.

There’s a role for everyone in SA Performing Arts.
