Inspired by the previous drawing, I kind of liked the idea of an evil (?) doll-twin, so came up with a couple of your humble friend and narrator. I think I like the first one a little more, seems to be less true to life but still.

Today's fan art that's not on a Friday comes from Jhonen Vasquez and his graphic novel Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. More specifically, a spinoff series called I Feel Sick, dealing with a one-time love interest for the title character. Devi D is an artist who is struggling, but manages to create (at first) a painting of an unnerving doll-version of herself she calls Sickness. Sickness can speak to Devi, though whether it's all in her head or not, we the audience don't know. Sickness threatens to, and almost succeeds in,stealing Devi's creative abilities, life and consciousness, but is ultimately defeated. (Yeah, weird, angsty and artsy, I know).
But I wondered- what would happen if Sickness won? So pardon the language, just quoting the source material!

A while back I got stuck on the idea of an upscale barbecue and steak house chain restaurant in Hell- "Voted Best In Pandemonium Two Centuries Running!"
And for some reason this restaurant chain is called Strain- I think I was mid-way through Richard Kadrey's Sandman Slim books at the time, a good deal of which take place either in Hell or adjacent to. If you like fantasy and horror, they're worth a read.
So this became the official chain logo of Hell's most popular restaurant. "We flame grill- just like you!"
Yeah, I know. I have too much free time.

A little nod to the Leviathan Lobster God- these are a bunch of people who realized that lobsters don't die of old age, and can (at least hypothetically) grow to any size, and live forever. Hence the Leviathan. But also, they promote beach cleanup, ecological responsibility and sustainable living. All in all a great group of people, even if they're obsessed with giant lobsters.
