The comeback of the century. Gio came back after one of the gnarliest falls SPL has ever seen. Looking to be out of the competition, he came back and surprised everyone by snatching Finals Challenge 1. Being the only athlete to complete it on his second attempt!

Solidifying his presence among the best, Gio ended up in 4th place once the dust had settled. We all know what happened the last time a Hub athlete got 4th at SPL and qualified for the next year 👀

We are proud of you Gio. And happy you’re okay. Let’s get back on that grind for next year 💪🏼

Athlete: Gio Lessard
Location: Origins Parkour
Competition: Sport Parkour League

Another SPL in the books. This one certainly had us holding our breath at points but in the end, we came out safe and on top.

These guys have truly built something special. The mentality, physicality, and determination to compete at the highest level are the result of years of hard work. The late night training sessions multiple times a week, the Woodward trips, UFC watch parties, lightning STICK, back alley sprint races, endless rounds of Quiplash, Full Nelsons and so much more. These guys aren’t just athletes and fellow competitors, they’re family.

Will Hess coming back to Vancouver and reminding the world he belongs to compete with the best of the best. He may have been out sized by the competition, but he was never out worked. We are so proud. 💨

Gio Lessard taking the main stage and suffering a very scary fall and injury. 7 stitches, head wrap, and the FIRST athlete to complete a finals challenge. Gave us CHILLS. We are glad you’re okay 🤕

Brandon Hooper cementing himself as the benchmark for parkour skill competition. Making the hardest challenges SPL has ever had look like a warmup session back in Norton. 🏆

We have a couple more days to sleep off the weekend here in Canada but you best believe we’re bringing more Hardware back home.

Thank you to everyone involved with Hub over the years: coaches, staff, families, friends, students, etc. the amazing event staff and volunteers at Sport Parkour League for putting on the greatest show in sports. The medic team and Canadian urgent care for taking care of our boy and reassuring us of how much of a beast he is. And the Parkour Community as a whole. Because of all of you we get to do what we love and showcase it to the world every year.

Video highlights to follow. Stay tuned to Hub as we reset the clock and begin the

You all saw the fall, and we all had our concerns for Gio. He is doing well, mostly just disappointed in himself for his mistake, but he gave it his all and showed he belonged here. 2/5 semifinal challenges complete and nearly a 3rd 😭.

But he walked out on his own strength and got stitched up. Ready to watch Brandon do his thing again.

Make sure you watch live on YT or at our watch party!

Will made us proud again last night. Clean run with no missed flags, executed his practiced route nearly flawless.

It just wasn’t enough to squeeze into the top 5 for Finals. His 6th place finish put him just outside of contention so he now joins the Brandon support team for the Final day of competition.

Dont want to pay for the stream? Go to HUB Parkour | Norfolk today at 6pm for the watch party! Cheer on Brandon as he takes on the finals to defend his title in Skill.
