Thirty years ago, Florida Arts & Dance Company was founded with a simple but powerful belief: dance can change lives.

Since 1996, FADC has been much more than a dance studio. We’ve been a place where children build confidence, friendships, discipline, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

Over the years, thousands of young people have stepped through our doors. Some arrived shy and unsure of themselves. Others came looking for an outlet, a challenge, or a community. Through dance, they discovered strengths they never knew they had.

Today, our mission continues far beyond the studio walls. Through scholarships, community outreach, and our Dance into Health program in Martin County schools, we bring the benefits of movement and the arts to children of all abilities.

While many know us for our performances like FASC’s The Nutcracker and our annual end of year show, the real magic happens every day; in the friendships formed, the confidence gained, the goals achieved, and the lives touched.

As we celebrate 30 years of Building Strong Youth Through the Power of Dance, we are grateful for every dancer, family, teacher, volunteer, donor, and supporter who has been part of our story.

And the best part? Our story is still being written. ❤️

Mina Hamilton, Program Director

Mina Hamilton serves as Florida Arts & Dance Company’s Program Director. In this role, she manages studio operations, serves as our office manager, teaches Pre-Ballet and Ballet classes, leads our Dance into Health program in the Martin County School District, coordinates our annual Nutcracker and End-of-Year performances, and oversees our summer camp programs.

Mina’s journey with Florida Arts & Dance Company began at the age of five when she enrolled as a student. She trained extensively in ballet under the direction of Tatiana Kopp and developed a lifelong passion for dance and arts education.

After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Florida Atlantic University, Mina continued to teach here at FADC. Through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to our mission, she advanced through the organization and now serves as Program Director.

Mina is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for young dancers to grow in confidence, artistry, and character. Her deep connection to FADC, combined with her experience in both arts education and administration, makes her an invaluable leader and mentor within our community. 🩰✨

My heart is extra full this week. ❤️

Serving as President of Florida Arts & Dance Company is one of the greatest gifts of my life. Supporting the youth of The Treasure Coast and watching them grow in confidence, creativity, and joy is something I never take for granted.

And as we step into Nutcracker week, I’m reminded just how special FADC’s studio truly is. Our dancers have poured their hearts into this production, the rehearsals, the laughter, the teamwork, the determination; all leading to this weekend, a magical few days at the historic Lyric Theatre.

Every year, The Nutcracker brings our community together… families, friends, alumni, volunteers, and supporters who believe in the power of the arts to uplift and shape young lives. I’m endlessly grateful for each of you.

Here’s to our dancers, our teachers, to this beautiful tradition, and to the community that makes it all possible.
