WCIBP Next Stop: Tiger Bowl, Madrid

Next up on the WCIBP travel schedule is Tiger Bowl in Madrid, October 23 to 25. Reservations help the host center plan squads, so call (515) 795-2695 ahead of time.

$1,100 to first place at every stop (pays 1 to 5, based on 50 entries). $9,000 to the first-place team at the Year-End Championship Roll-Off in April. One team for every seven entries at each stop advances to the roll-off.

The Stuart stop is December 18 to 20 at Stuart Bowl. Call (515) 523-1422 to reserve a squad.

Monday League Results

Seven weeks into Monday Mixed and the tie at the top holds. Brents Boys and the Stuart Bowl team are both 17-11, with Brents Boys in first and Stuart Bowl second. Creston Trio sits third at 16-12.

- The Stuart Bowl team rolled a 1678 scratch series, the second-best team series of the season
- Chad Pote's 627 series is his best of the season and sits third on the men's scratch series list
- Traci Griffin's 672 handicap series is the new women's leader, and her 504 scratch series is second on that list

Sunday League Results

Five weeks into the Sunday Night Mixed season, Walls Auto still leads at 15-5. Spare Me took all 4 points to climb to second at 14-6, and Scott Concrete sits third at 12-8.

- Scott Concrete rolled an 824 scratch game, the new top team game of the season
- The first individual handicap highs of the season are on the board. Steve Renslow's 277 game and Bob Montgomery's 681 series lead the men
- Amanda Carl leads the women with a 250 handicap game and a 649 handicap series, and her 496 series and 199 game put her second and third on the women's scratch lists

Wednesday League Results

Week 7 of Tri City Mixed shook up the top. Fountas Foul Ups swept all 3 points and are back in first alone at 14½-6½, with GNS second at 12½-8½. Traditions and Tigges Comfort each swept all 3 too.

- Clay Baker rolled a 289 game, the new men's scratch leader, and his 324 handicap game leads there as well
- Mary Tisl-Endres put up a 670 handicap series, the new women's leader
- GNS topped their own team mark with a 789 scratch game, and Matt Easter added a 299 handicap game and a 736 handicap series to the men's lists

City tournament time. Doubles and singles bowl here Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, and the team event follows November 14 and 15. Get your entry to Association Manager Mary by October 25. A quarter of the prize fund goes to the West Central Valley Booster Club for the high school bowling program, so bowl well and do some good.
