The frame was selected because it helps to properly display the art and matches the teak wood color in the wood trim and mast.

Every art piece has a story. This is a good example of that.
I ran across this Polaroid from the 1980's and wanted to share this project with you.
A customer came into my shop with a unusual request. The customer wanted to frame a poster print that had been his companion in the many apartments that he lived in while studying abroad in England. all four corners were riddled with pin holes from it's many wall applications over the years. The request was to mat the print in such a way as to show as much of the print as possible and still cover up the many pin holes. My solution was to draw a radius with a drafting compass, and hand (bevel) cut the radius to connect the straight cuts made with my mat cutting machine. To my amazement, I was able to accomplish this on my first attempt.
