A current work in progress… I found an old ,small tabletop made of hondoras mahogany . The photo of chips after a few thousand carving decisions over a two hour period… to be continued……

I started a new series recently thanks to Robert Moulton owner of Palm City Framers. His generous contribution of scrap mat board led me to explore the work you see here .
The inspiration for these pieces I call 2D constructions , came from my painting professor, Ilya Bolotowsky , at SUNY NEW PALTZ, and friend,geometric abstract painter, Leon Polk Smith, my one time neighbor. Both were inspired by 20th century artist , Piet Mondrian.
