I've been working on this covered bridge for the past month. From sketching it in person to prepping my surface to oil painting. It's not perfect, but I feel like I'm improving with creating depth in a landscape. Those trees are tricky! 😯

I'm playing around with Derwent today. You draw as you would with colored pencils but add water to activate and blend the colors. At the end, I used dry pencil to add shading and create depth. Fun! Fun! 😍

Today I worked on some small cloud studies in Open acrylic paints. Someday I'd like to tackle some larger sky landscapes!

My inspiration came from photographs on Pinterest and the beautiful landscapes of Jodi Miller Fine Art on IG.

A few weeks ago K A L I E . G R A V E S put out this . I missed the deadline, but the idea of painting white roses on a white background intrigued me.

I still need to work on creating depth...practice, practice, practice. Painted in oil.

We picked a beautiful day to do some plein air art at Lockport Bridge! I sketched and tried to capture the perspective properly. Teri worked loosely in oil.

It was a good time!

I made this little doggie in acrylic for a family member who lost her Shih Tzu. I will simply title this "Molly".

Just checking in during a busy summer. It's been fun watercolor painting with a few friends at Staci's home. Learning how to artfully fill a large background is one of my goals.

This is a wrap up of my 5th . It's fun to lay them all out and see some progress in my skills. 😊

I am selling these paintings for $30 a piece except for the daisy bouquet and the raspberries. I will keep those for summer art shows. I was unsatisfied with my original rabbit painting and did it over. Please send me a DM if you are interested in purchasing any. Proceeds will go to more art supplies. Lol.

Thank you to my daughter Lydia for taking pictures for this post. ❤️
