💜 Announcement: Moonlight Spook Trail CANCELED
After much thought (and a lot of heartbreak), I’ve decided to officially cancel this year’s Moonlight Spook Trail.
To be honest, I’ve tried to keep pushing forward — clearing trails, planning, promoting — while also dealing with my daughter Sadie’s disappearance, the recovery process, and everything that’s come with it. But the truth is, I can’t do this alone.
Aside from one person who initially offered help and later had to step back, there’s been no real support or volunteers to help bring this vision to life. I’ve poured so much time, energy, and heart into trying to make this happen, but without a team, it’s just not possible.
I wanted so badly to create something special for our local community — something magical, family-friendly, and memorable — but this experience has been a hard reminder that while many love to see things happen, not many step up to make them happen.
For now, I’m shifting my focus where it truly belongs: on my family, my kids, and my daughter’s healing. I’ll continue to build the community that did show up for us — the incredible people online who helped share, spread the word, and ultimately brought Sadie home.
Maybe someday the Moonlight Spook Trail will return, stronger and better supported. But for now, I’m choosing peace, family, and gratitude for those who truly care. 💛
