📜 A PIECE OF STREATOR HISTORY 📜
PRESERVED RIGHT HERE DOWNTOWN
This definitely didn’t come together overnight. It took time, patience, research, and a lot of hunting to track down these pieces origin and put everything together the way you see it now.
The collection includes original Streator merchant trade tokens, local advertising pieces, city bonds, documents, and other items connected directly to businesses and projects that helped shape Streator.
A lot of these pieces are 100+ years old, and many aren’t things you can simply go online and replace.
Everything has been researched, labeled, and displayed with the goal of preserving a piece of our local history. The collection now includes dozens of original Streator trade tokens, a 1910 City of Streator bridge bond, and an original 1929 Streator Clay Manufacturing Company $500 gold bond with surviving coupons, along with supporting historical information.
You can check it all out inside Crowned With Ink, right here in downtown Streator.
We collected all of this because I genuinely enjoy preserving history! But like anything collectible, everything has a price for the right person. If something pictured seriously interests you and you’d like more information, feel free to reach out privately.
Serious inquiries only. Some of these pieces were extremely difficult to acquire and may not be easy to find again.
Pretty cool seeing this much original Streator history together and back on Main Street where it al started! 🏛️
