Some people leave a mark on the music scene that lasts long beyond their time on stage. Darik Pearson was one of those people. 💔
While we didn't have the privilege of knowing Darick personally, we had the pleasure of seeing him perform with Darik and the Funbags many times over the years. For Sarah Jean B, those memories go all the way back to high school and college breaks. In many ways, Darick and The Fun Bags were her first introduction to the Connecticut cover band scene, long before she ever imagined being part of it herself.
Darick was, and always will be, a legend in the Connecticut music scene. His energy, talent, and the memories he helped create for countless people will live on. His passing leaves a tremendous hole in our CT music family, one that won't easily be filled.
To Darick’s family, bandmates, friends, and everyone who loved him, our hearts truly break for you. We are sending the biggest hugs, healing prayers, and so much love your way.
Thank you, Darick, for the music, the memories, and for being part of the reason so many of us fell in love with live music in the first place.
