🌳 North Coventry Township Completes Draft Coventry Woods Stewardship Plan 🌿
North Coventry Township has completed the draft Coventry Woods Stewardship Plan, a comprehensive roadmap for the long-term protection and enhancement of one of the Township's most valuable natural resources.
Developed through the Chester County Open Space Accelerator Program with the Chester County Planning Commission, the plan builds on the Township's longstanding commitment to preserving open space and outlines strategies to:
🌲 Improve forest health
🌱 Manage invasive species
💧 Protect water resources
🥾 Maintain and enhance trails
🦌 Strengthen wildlife habitat
Created with input from Township officials, community volunteers, and conservation partners, the draft plan establishes clear priorities for future stewardship efforts while helping the Township coordinate funding, partnerships, and volunteer initiatives.
The North Coventry Township Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote on adoption of the Stewardship Plan at its next regular business meeting on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Upon approval, the plan will become the Township's official framework for the future management and stewardship of Coventry Woods.
By investing in the long-term care of Coventry Woods, the Township is working to ensure this treasured community resource continues to provide outstanding opportunities for recreation, environmental education, and wildlife conservation for generations to come.
