This month we have two art making opportunities here at Overt Space, an intro to watercolors and our monthly paint and sip night!

✨Saturday June 20th: Intro to Watercolor
~ Immerse yourself in the world of watercolor with this intro class! You will learn all the basics of techniques and brushstrokes to create your very own masterpiece!
~Great for ages 16+ and beginner to intermediate skill levels!

✨Friday June 26th: Paint and Sip
~ Unwind with a cozy evening of color, creativity, and a beverage (N/A available)
~ Using acrylic on canvas, you’ll learn a variety of techniques to create your own unique artwork to take home
~ Come to sip, relax, and enjoy a fun night of painting!

Last Friday we hosted the opening of our current exhibition Multifarious Nature featuring local artists Bill Amundson and Ben Floeter. We had a lovely turnout of guests eager to explore the gallery and see these fabulous pieces of art. Both Ben and Bill gave speeches about their work and it was very intriguing to hear their processes and the meaning behind their work.

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to support these two local artists and the gallery, and to Ben and Bill for allowing us to display their work. Overall it was a lovely night filled with lots of smiles, conversation, and art.

Multifarious Nature is up and running until June 28th so stop by the gallery to check out some really fun artwork!

Open hours: Wednesday-Sunday 10-5.

Today is the day! Our opening reception for Multifarious Nature is tonight! We are so excited to share the artworks of Ben Floeter and Bill Amundson! There will be light refreshments, artist talks from both Bill and Ben, and a great atmosphere to be in on a Friday night.

This opening is also special as its a part of Stoughton's first Fourth Friday series, where every fourth Friday of the month now until September participating businesses in downtown Stoughton will be staying open late 'til 8 and each has their own special going on!

We are so excited for tonight and hope to see you there!

We are so excited to be a part of visit Stoughton's newest event, Fourth Fridays! Every fourth Friday of the month starting in May until September, participating businesses in the heart of downtown Stoughton will be staying open late 'til 8pm and will each have their own specials going on.

Here at Overt Space we will be hosting our opening reception for our new exhibition, Multifarious Nature. This show features two of Stoughton's fine artists, Ben Floeter and Bill Amundson. The reception will start at 5:30 and will have Ben and Bill speak about their work around 6:15.

We will have light refreshments and a lot of art to go around!
We can't wait to see you!

✨NEW ART EXHIBITON✨

We are proud to announce our newest exhibition, Multifarious Nature, featuring two of Stoughton's own artists, Ben Floeter and Bill Amundson.

Bill Amundson is a Stoughton based artist who works in pencil. His humorous portraits, landscapes and interiors deal with the vagaries of contemporary life in America. His work has been described in various publications as “ironic, compulsive, delicate, irreverent, whimsical, masterful and banal,” which leads one to question the veracity of the publishing world.

Ben Floeter is a Stoughton based artist who works with multimedia and found objects. His current body of work is more nature based, with a focus on Sandhill Cranes. He blends the natural and physical world, creating a harmony between the painted image and the materials that the paint rests on.

Please join us to celebrate the opening reception of Multifarious Nature this Friday, May 22, 5:30-7:30. This reception is extra special as it is also the first Fourth Friday event in downtown Stoughton! Participating businesses will be staying open until 8pm and will be showcasing their own special item/event.

It's going to be a fantastic evening filled with lots of art and joy! We hope to see you there!
