RAs for Social Justice Education

RAs for Social Justice Education Through education, cooperation, and collaboration we support, and help lead, the creation of a respectful and inclusive culture within the UConn community.

The Resident Assistant for Social Justice Education (RASJE) serves as a student contact on issues related to diversity; and promotes social justice, inclusivity, and equity within the residence halls. The RASJE’s focus is to create a residential environment with intent to increase the cultural awareness of the overall residential community. The community will be a place where students from underre

presented populations are supported; members of the majority population are educated on meaningful differences; and all students can celebrate their heritages. Respect persons of all backgrounds; including, but not limited to, ability, age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity expression, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and spirituality.
