Hello All! Some of you know but most do not, I wanted to get everyone up to speed. I am at Methodist Hospital in Omaha undergoing radiation and chemo for tonsil cancer. I will be here for at least 6 weeks. The surgery to remove the offending tonsil and lymph nodes went well. Now I am getting prescriptive care so I can go on being me for a lot longer. It is a type of cancer which is now preventable with a Gardasil injection. If you have kids please make sure they are immunized. The team here have been great. I hope for a smooth treatment.
So now you know and as Spamalot says "I ain't dead yet"

Hellos and love to you all!

Hello, all you wonderful people who were part of the BVU Theatre. We had a lot of great times, and we created many memorable moments. Now is when I need you to rummage back in your memories of being in shows at BV, especially if you have memories of 'Doc" Whitlatch. I'm preparing a eulogy for his memorial service that will be coming up next week, and I'd love to include any special moments when Doc did something that made an impression on you. I need anything you might think of SOON, so please call me or respond to this post. And if you wish, you can call me at 712-732-7303 (the answering machine will be on. And remember to say your name clearly, (and if you have changed your name, please refer to the name you used at BV.) If you want to talk to me directly, use the number above.

Hello, all BV Players, and I'm talking to ALL of You!
You may have heard the news that Dr. Michael Whitlatch passed away. I have accepted the role of delivering the eulogy. And since that is my responsibility, I'm calling on all of our theatre family members to send me a remembrance of Dr. Whitlatch. Perhaps it was one of his immortal sayings such as "You look like a bunch of constipated gazelles!) am going to post his obituary here, and I'm asking you if you might send me a remembrance of Dr. Whitlatch. Perhaps you were in a show that he directed, perhaps you were in a group that planned a sit-in in the President's office, just so that students could better understand history as well as giving a living example. But if you have any memories that you would be willing to share with me, I will be glad to incorporate your thoughts, as well as the funny things that happened, and also those times when Doc had to have a conversation in his office. You can send anything you want me to include to [email protected]. But do it soon so I can prepare.
Love to all of our former students, either onstage or behind the scenes.
