This weekend is full of free live music in Storm Lake. Kickoff outdoor summer music on Friday with John King and Scott Kirkhart at Awaysis Park, then Saturday kick off summer Farmer's Markets with live music from 10-12 with Summer Miller playing acoustic.

Andy Anderson was one of the good ones. From the very beginning...to the very end of Lakefest...Andy was our guy. We booked the artists and took care of all the intangibles and Andy and his crew made the show look and sound good! Our thoughts are with Andy's family. Thanks for the good times!

Summer is approaching quick...so I just wanted to reach out to say thank you for 8 amazing years of Lakefest! 2018's show with Jimmie Allen was not only my last Lakefest but it turns out it is Storm Lake's last as well. Over the 8 years we hosted some of country musics brightest up and comers that are now turning into some of the next crop of stars!

Don't be sad...in those 8 years we also saw our hometown embrace live music again and it will continue with Storm Lake United's Lighthouse concert series. Please keep the music alive!

Lakefest was always a dream of mine and it happened thanks to a lot of great people.

Thanks again for 8 great shows!

The greatest moment of my Grand Ole Opry debut was walking off the stage and having my son give me a big hug. He said, "I love you daddy and you did a good job.” I hugged him even tighter. Then he looks at me and says, "Why are you crying daddy?" I just said, "Daddy is really happy right now." He says, "Ok can we get more popcorn now?" 😂
