Some photos from our end of the year Gala celebration! We welcomed a new eboard, said goodbye to our beloved seniors, cheered for some wonderful performances, and shared the love we have for pocket theatre and the theatre arts. From the soccer field to the fairytale woods, our shows this year went above and beyond! We thank each and every one of you for such an amazing year!

We are so honored to recognize our very own Riannon Shea and Sophia Stephens on their selection by Theater Arts Department for this year's Tom Neumiller Scholarship.

This scholarship is designated for a junior Theatre Arts minor on the basis of merit and intended to help further their studies in theatre arts. Tom Neumiller was a beloved member of the Department of Theatre Arts who passed away in 1997. A director and teacher of acting, Professor Neumiller was dedicated to undergraduate education. Before his death, he established this fund to support a junior or senior Theatre Arts Major in their studies.

Both Sophia and Riannon are role models for what we strive for in Pocket Theater. Their dedication and work ethic within the club as well as working beyond into the Stony Brook curriculum is unmatched. We are so lucky to have you both in Pocket Theater and congratulations!

We are PROUD to announce that we have been awarded the “Performance Organization of the Year” award by the Jerrold L. Stein Student Life Awards for Excellence and in Student Leadership and Campus Involvement. We are absolutely honored! Thank you to our president Hana Draskin, and vice president Patterson Summers for leading us to this milestone, as well as a big thank you to Pocket’s general body! This club would not exist without you, your talent, and your hard work. Everyone deserves a pat on the back for this wonderful achievement! We’re glad to bring a home for theatre to Stony Brook because what’s life without a little theatre in your pocket?

Interested in being a part of a production team? Be sure to fill out the production team interest form by May 17th! After that, potential directors will be given access to responses and can select for any positions they may need (assistant director, choreographer, music director, assistant stage manager, etc.). If you are already on a potential director’s team, please remember that this form is mandatory to complete. Best of luck! 🎭✨
