This Veterans Powwow is more than a celebration, it is a day of honoring, giving back, and coming together as a community.

Throughout the day, our Head Staff and Royalty will be hosting specials as a way to share, honor, and uplift the people. These specials include honor songs, giveaways, youth activities, and moments of recognition for our veterans, dancers, and families.

Introducing our Incoming Powwow Princess Kaleia Ramirez
Kaleia Ramirez is 6 years old and is of Cahuilla descent. She is a fourth generation to attend the Native American Indian Center of Stockton Unified School District. She is a first grader that attends Stockton Commodore Skill Elementary. Kaleia is very good at math has great attendance at school and is very physically inclined. She excels in gymnastics and loves dancing fancy shawl. She also wants to learn the jingle dance. Kaleia is learning American Sign Language and is proud to share the ASL alphabet. Kaleia is very proud and honored to represent the Veteran powwow. She is very grateful and thankful to all that have supported her, gifted her regalia, and to her mentors who have encouraged her and directed her. She is also very thankful to her family who have supported her journey as a dancer.

โœจ Introducing Our Head Teen Girl: Aiyanna Ramirez โœจ

Aiyanna Ramirez is a proud descendant of the Ho-Chunk Nation and a member of the Thunder Clan. She is 15 years old and a freshman at Lincoln High School, where she shines both academically and creatively.

Aiyanna balances her love for singing in her school choir with strong dedication to her studies, earning straight Aโ€™s and Honor Roll. She also enjoys dancing Fancy Shawl, expressing her culture, strength, and joy through movement.

She is truly honored to be serving as our Head Teen Girl, and we are proud to watch her represent her community with grace, confidence, and pride. We canโ€™t wait to see her shine in this role!

Tomorrow is the date of the winter gathering at 530pm hope you all rsvp'd. We are so blessed to be able to put on this gathering for the community. Its a time to gather and be together as community.

This gathering is exclusively for Native American Indian families, as we come together in community to honor our culture, traditions, and community.

The event will also feature a Ribbon Shirt & Ribbon Skirt Contest, open to all ages.
We warmly welcome all Native families to attend and celebrate with us.
