It's time to start thinking about the Stockholm Art Fair. This year's event will be on Saturday, July 18th. Applications from artists will start being received on January 16th and the deadline to apply is March 15. Please share this if you know an artist that would like to be in our show.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Hecksel. Bruce and Julie have long been an integral part of the Stockholm Art Fairs music. Bruce's love for the fair came through in his tireless devotion to our musicians and as a painter/exhibitor as well. He will be greatly missed.

from Winona, Minnesota
Amanda is a Minnesota native and has released music drifting between folk, alt- pop/rock and Americana. With roots as a pianist her writing is thematically varied with an emphasis on melody; with ballads wrapped in warm vocals. In 2016 she received a Front Of The Line Pass from The Voice and her seventh album, “Please Dear Sun,” was nominated for Blues & Roots Radio Album Of The Year. Amanda just released her eighth album called Give Me Away. The songs reflect questions Amanda asks herself regarding the status of her own thoughts and heart, and through her music hopes to convey that the giving of oneself, reinforces goodness in the lives of others. musicbyamandagrace.com

51st Stockholm Art Fair Musical Schedule

Folk Rock Americana

The Stiffs, who hail not from the Volunteer State, but that other roots-music Mecca — Austin, Texas — dip their bucket deep into the well of American music. Warped lo-fi folk gives way to frenetic honky-tonk riff rock and gutbucket country; forlorn Americana anthems resound off Texas hillsides, and blazing Southern rock screeches like tires on the last lap of a cup-winning speedway run.

Formed in late 2011 and fueled by their eclectic musical interests, co-founders-turned-married-couple Ethan Lee and Cara B were determined to create something never heard before. Cara’s melodies range from hauntingly beautiful to wildly soulful. Blended with Lee’s foot-stomping rhythms and gravelly vocals, the two take the “Beauty and the Beast” standard to heart.

Fast forward to 2023, Cara and Lee relocated to Red Wing, Minnesota, continuing their Americana musical portrait as a duo/trio with local percussionist Jake Ricks. www.tennesseestiffs.com

51st Stockholm Art Fair Musical Schedule

10:00 – 11:00: Katie Henry and Mac Cherry
Guitar Accordion Duet with beautiful vocals from Alma, WI
Katie Henry and Mac Cherry have been playing the upper Mississippi River Valley for the last several years. Their repertoire is an eclectic mix of Beatles to Billie Eillish, 50’s torch singers to Norah Jones and just about (but not quite) everything in between. Katie is an accomplished pianist and accordion player and Mac has a guitar playing style that is oddly unique and he’s prone to the occasional whistling solo without request. Their vocal blend is something special and their stage presence is usually humorous, sometimes ridiculous and almost always entertaining.
