Stockbridge Town Hall Players

Stockbridge Town Hall Players The TOWN HALL PLAYERS, (THP), is a community theatre group dedicated to bringing live theatre to our area, featuring local talent of all ages.

For several months, in the late 1990's, Jeff Boyer and Jo Mayer discussed the idea of a community theater group for the Stockbridge area. Then in, September 2000, the first organized meeting was called. About twelve people attended. Some of the original group members include Jeff Boyer, Jo Mayer, Lauren Auge, Andy Beebe, Terri Beebe Becky Fahmie, Joy Fahmie, Aaron Grenier, and Joann Moore. The Tow

n Hall Players were born! It took only four meetings to create a name for the group, find a script for the first production, plan auditions, and find a theater. Our first production was the classic Cheaper by the Dozen, which opened in May of 2001 at the historic Stockbridge Town Hall. Our list of plays we have done so far! Cheaper by the Dozen – May 2001

Christmas in June? Well, not quite. Mark your calendars! Auditions for our Winter Play will be on August 24th and 25th at the Stockbridge Town Hall, from 6-8pm.

Auditionees will be asked to read from the script by themselves and with others, perform a memorized snippet from the script provided beforehand, and may be asked to sing a few bars of a Christmas carol if they want a singing role.

This is a departure from our usual one weekend of shows, so any auditionee will need to be aware that this show will be performed for two weekends, with six shows instead of four. The more the merrier!

Please reach out if you have any questions, and we cannot wait to see all of your amazing skills. All ages, beginners welcome!

Stockbridge Town Hall Players is thrilled to announce our winter play, A Christmas Carol! Join all of the classic characters from Charles Dickens' novella in this edition adapted by Kathryn Brumm.

"Ebenezer Scrooge, seven years after his business partner’s death, is visited by three ghosts who warn that his bitter heart will give him a bitter end. Christmas Past comes first, with memories of a youth long gone. Christmas Present shows him what he is missing alongside him. Christmas future shows him the bitterness his own misery causes everyone else. Along the way, Scrooge learns the meaning of Christmas and how kindness can go a long way. With beloved characters from the original novella and some new faces sprinkled in, this adaptation will be sure to leave an audience filled with the true spirit of Christmas—and laughing out of their seats."

Auditions will be this fall, and we cannot wait to see new and old faces come to try out! Don't miss this, or you'll be the humbug!

Yesterday was our closing show of Alice's Wonderland, and we couldn't be missing it more! Thank you to all of our amazing actors, crew, parents, and supporters who came to see the show!

We have one last show for you. Some of the cast made a music video pertaining to the show. This is 2econd 2ight 2eer (that was fun, goodbye!) by Will Wood.

We hope you enjoy how silly all of these amazing actors and actresses are. We will see you later this year for our next show!

Down the rabbit hole! ♥️♠️♦️♣️
