When I first read about the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership, I just knew I had to go. It was a long wait to get there, but it was so worth it. We spent our days up before the sun and immersed in the beauty all around us - deepening our connection with the land, place, and the more-than-human world.
The benefits of nature meditation are well documented - reduced stress, improved sleep, creativity, resilience and even immunity. While we were learning about how to help others get these benefits through mindful outdoor experiences, we we experiencing them ourselves. After a very long last few years, I can’t tell you how amazing it felt to slow down, to breathe, and to connect with the natural world again. It was a return “home” in more ways than one.
Beyond grateful to be a part of this program and this community!
