Day one of market is officially in the books! I never got to step out of Room 315…except for a four-minute dash to buy more needle minders. Because we all know I don’t have nearly enough needle minders. 😂

Thank you to all the shops that stopped by, shopped and made it such a fun day! Ready to do it all again tomorrow.

We’re well underway with setup, getting the canvases ready, the prosecco chilled and the disco queued up!

Shops that received an email about previously placed orders can stop by Room 315 Thursday any time after 1:00 pm for pickup and a little sneak peek. Market shopping kicks off Friday!

Can honestly say I’m not really excited about this market. I’m frustrated with myself and that my new designs are slim at best, but I do have a lot of inventory so come by Room 315 EARLY if you want to take canvases home with you. Now I have a fun 12 hours ahead of me.

Happy First Day of Fall🍂🍁

And maybe one day I’ll finally finish the stumpwork leaf for this bad boy. 🤦‍♀️ When it’s complete, it will have so many fun techniques, including a stumpwork leaf, a beaded acorn cap and basketweave on a stick stitched with Straw Silk…which we will all have again very soon!

What a fabulous weekend at Emily’s Stitchery taking a class with the incredible Kelly A. Clark-Munger!

This year has been so special. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from three of the greats: Meredith Willett, Tony Minieri and Kelly Clark. My stitching knowledge has grown exponentially, and each class has challenged me to expand my skills and explore techniques I might never have attempted on my own.

I’m so grateful for the time, talent and generosity each of these remarkable teachers has shared. What a year of learning! 💛🪡

Last night her family pulled off a surprise party, and she was COMPLETELY surprised! Such a fun night filled with laughter and so much love for one very special person. I’m so grateful I got to be there celebrating with Deb, Amy and Kris. These are the moments and the friendships that make life so good. Happy birthday, Deb! We love you BIG! 🥳🎂💕

WIP Wednesday 🎻🐈‍⬛

A couple of weeks ago, I had the absolute joy of working on this fabulous piece with the great Tony Minieri at Emily’s Stitchery. I found this canvas last year at The Splendid Stitch, and this sweet kitty looks so much like my late Phoebe Phatts…I could totally have seen her crazy ass playing a as my cutlery ran out the door with my plates.

My current dream is to find an entire week when I can disconnect from everything else and do nothing but stitch this wonderful little musician and all the accompanying crazy critters in this canvas.
