Looking back at Dancing Turtle 2026 and the wonderful people who brought the arts to life! 🥣🌱🎶🇰🇷🥃🥘

Pottery by Jezz features wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces from right here in Oklahoma! Their work puts the FUN in functional! 🏺

Lost In Time preserves flowers, plants, mushrooms, and other foraged materials in resin, which they then turn into jewelry, keychains, and dice! This preservation process results in one-of-a-kind pieces of art! 🍃

Slapout is a folk-rock band based in Stillwater that hones their craft with Oklahoma-themed storytelling. A returning performer at Dancing Turtle, they always draw a crowd! 🎷

Clint Clausing is a local singer/songwriter and guitarist. He is an annual performer at Dancing Turtle’s Songwriter’s Living Room! 🎼

K-Soul Dance Crew was a new addition to the dance showcase this year! Their distinctive K-Pop performances wowed the crowd! 🪩

Territory Distilling is another familiar face, featuring locally distilled spirits for all palates! They are in the process of relocating to Morrison, and we can’t wait to see what combinations they bring to life in their new space!🍹

The Stillwater crowd knows and loves Nilima’s Authentic Food of India! Their food truck features original Indian fare on a rotating menu, with vegan and vegetarian options daily. 🍛

Figments of Imagination features fused glass that is both functional and decorative, along with glass and silver jewelry. Claire’s pieces are a fun way to add color to your everyday! 🌺

Eros Candle Co is always a hit with the Dancing Turtle crowd. Featuring handcrafted candles, wax melts, and fragrances, their booth is an olfactory wonderland! ✨

The Tyler Siems Band is a group put together by local singer-songwriter Tyler Siems! A familiar face to the Dancing Turtle crowd, they have a true knack for storytelling. 🎸

Dr. Hugh Foley, Oklahoma music historian and founding board member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, brings an incredible country sound to his acoustic set at Dancing Turtle. 🎶

Legacy Foundation Creations is a creative performing arts and media company who were featured in this year’s dance showcase. Their creativity and artistry is unmatched! 💫

The City of Stillwater Utilities Department returned to Dancing Turtle this year with their bucket truck! What a great addition to the Design in Motion exhibits! 🚚

Bagpipe Bites features an array of Scottish dishes sure to satisfy any appetite! Its food you’re unlike to find anywhere else in Stillwater! 🥧

Twister Strums is a beloved return vendor, featuring handcrafted musical instruments including cigar box guitars, cake pan banjos, and other roots musical instruments! Knowledgeable and creative in equal measure, we love seeing what Larry Allen has in store each year! 🎼

Up The Creek Wildlife Photography is another staple of the Dancing Turtle festival. Gene Blackwell’s booth features original wildlife photography prints and specialty items (mugs, cards, and calendars) featuring his gorgeous work. 🍁

The Heard is an Americana, Red Dirt, and roots-rock hometown band, billing themselves as “a musical shape shifting band of rascals”. We love their unique sound and creative chemistry! 🌼

Tim Cowan is a local singer, songwriter, and guitarist who is also a returning performer to Dancing Turtle. You can also catch him performing at Market 34 and other local venues! 🎵

Pepper’s Line Dance Group features the students of Pepper Vold. Their impressive talents have graced the stage at many Dancing Turtle festivals! 👏

The Stillwater Fire Department is always a big draw with kids and those young at heart! We appreciate their repeat appearance at the Design in Motion exhibits at Dancing Turtle! 🚒

Trippy Turtle Concessions serves classic American and diner-style fare out of their distinctive tie-dye truck! We love this on-brand addition to our food truck lineup! 🌈

Matthew Montgomery, of Awen Inspirations Photography, is an artist who specializes in landscape and botanical images. His photos and prints are available in a variety of sizes and printed on many different materials. The outdoors comes alive in his work! 🦬 🦋 🌼

Magnolia Leigh Tea offers homemade teas from home-grown Oklahoma ingredients. Floral, spicy, fruity, and creative, their mixtures are sure to satisfy any tea drinker! 🫖 🌺

Connor Helm is Perkin’s own up-and-coming singer/songwriter and guitarist, with a blues and Red Dirt sound all his own. Always a big hit with the Dancing Turtle and Block 34 Live crowds, be sure to check out his music! 🎶

Mark Christian wears many hats! After years in radio and preaching, Mark Christian is an entertaining performer with quick wit and humor. A Stillwater-based multi instrumentalist who specializes in Americana and folk music, he is a fixture of the Dancing Turtle Songwriter’s Living Room each year! 🎼

Wildly Brave Dance Company is a regional professional dance company based out of Stillwater. In their own words, “We connect people through dance and make art that matters!” 🧑‍🩰

MC Iron returned to Dancing Turtle this year to offer a firey demonstration in blacksmithing! They offer ornamental iron, welding, metalwork, blacksmithing, wrought iron gates and fencing, and custom railings here in Stillwater. 🔥🔨

Happy Herman’s Lemonade is a staple in the Stillwater community! Their made-to-order lemonade and creative flavor combinations are a welcome thirst quencher in the summer sun! 🍋

Looking back on Dancing Turtle 2026 and the wonderful people who brought the arts to life! 🎨 🎸🎭🐢

Jewelry by January has been a beloved vendor at Dancing Turtle for many years! Local artisan Theresa January makes beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and earrings from beads, stone, metal, and wire. Her hand-crafted pieces are one of a kind! 💛

Green Wellness has also been at Dancing Turtle for many years! Their booth features original paintings by Corleigh Green and a fabulous selection of dried flower wreaths and small potted plants. The flower crowns are a crowd favorite! 🌸

Quincy Einstein and The Oddities returned to Dancing Turtle this year with their unique blend of blues, grit, and lyricism. Described as “a wandering troubadour with a poet’s heart and a road-worn voice”, their sound captures audiences around the country. We’re grateful they call Stillwater home! 🎶

The Misspent Ukes describe themselves as “a silly group of serious ukulele musicians”, and we can’t imagine a more apt narrative! Formed in mid-2014, they perform at community events large and small and delight audiences with their clever lyrics and musicality! 🎼

The Stillwater Children’s Theater was a new addition to Dancing Turtle this year! Following their summer camp in which attendees have a week to learn their parts and test their acting chops, their performance of Alice in Wonderland was a highlight of Saturday’s events! We can’t wait to see what they bring to Dancing Turtle in 2027! 🐇

Nacho Madness brought reinvented classics to the food truck scene at Dancing Turtle! With their specialty nachos and quesadillas, they were a hit with our crowd! ✨

Meet our Artists- introducing the Staubus family! Mike has been involved with Dancing Turtle since the very beginning, designing all of our logos (including the beloved Dancing Turtle!) and mentoring our very own Head Turtle, Autumn Mehl, in her early years with the festival. You might also know Mike as the designer of the original Eskimo Joe’s logo- we love a longstanding Stillwater connection! This was Mike’s first year with a booth- but Staubus Art is really a family affair. Taking after their father, Marina Staubus is a painter and Elena Staubus is a graphic designer. Thank you, Mike and family, for your continued support of Dancing Turtle, from your work behind the scenes to becoming a treasured vendor! 🐠🐢🧡

Meet our Artists! Joleen & Astri is one of our newest booths, featuring fine art by Joleen Royer and Astri Wayadande. These friends create art inspired by nature across a variety of mediums, from pastels to acrylics, watercolors to oil paints. We love to see friends that travel together, paint together, and support each other’s endeavors- and we love it when booths truly embody the spirit of “Art Building Community”! 🎨🐢

The Staubus Art booth, consisting of works from Mike Staubus and his daughters Marina and Elena, won Best 2D Art Booth at Dancing Turtle!

A first-time booth but long-time behind-the-scenes participant in Dancing Turtle, the Staubus family’s multi-generational talent is deeply inspiring!

We can’t wait to see their work at next year’s festival! 🐠🐢🌿
