Stillwater Community Singers The Stillwater Community Singers choir is a volunteer organization whose goal is to serve the Stillwater area community with an entertaining experience.

We offer 3 free concerts each year with a variety of musical renditions.

✨How long have you been singing with SCS?
14 years

✨What brought you to SCS?
Dr. Jim Baker recruited me after I attended a concert.

✨What is your favorite part of choir rehearsals?
Singing

✨What is your favorite type of music to sing?
60s and 70s soft rock, country, and movie musicals

✨What is your favorite SCS memory?
Singing a duet (not well) with Jo Martindale

✨Share a fun fact about yourself!
I used to be a veterinarian for movie horses

✨What does SCS mean to you?
Family

✨What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining?
Come & sing a spell!

Fall 2023, almost 3 years

✨What brought you to SCS?
Nancy Durham invited me after church.

✨What is your favorite part of choir rehearsals?
Hanging out and cracking jokes with the other fellas (sorry Paula!)

✨What is your favorite type of music to sing?
I’m a sucker for spirituals.

✨What is your favorite SCS memory?
Learning everyone’s little traditions at my first concert—like Di’s shoes!

I was once hospitalized in a game of Duck, Duck, Goose

✨What does SCS mean to you?
It’s a great place to make friends & be a part of something bigger.
