In 1989, I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's in Technical Theatre and Design. I started graduate school at North Carolina School of the Arts in 1992 for Scenic Design. In addition to designing sets, I have experience in making props, models, miniatures, costume construction, scenic and faux painting, carpentry, and welding. I also have trained many volunteers across vari

ous age groups on how to build, paint, be on run crew, and how to run sound and lights. Prior to relocating to Illinois, I have worked as a Technical Director and Scenic Designer in various community theatres in Florida, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. My favorite thing about theatre is the collaboration of all the elements. When it all comes together, magic is created and takes the audience out of the present and into the show.
